Farmers in Russia have been allowed to operate without creating a legal entity.

This significantly simplifies their activities. The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, signed Federal Law No. 352-FZ of July 31, 2025, which allows farming activities to be carried out both as a legal entity and without its creation. Previously, the possibility for farmsteads to operate without registering a legal entity existed legally, but in fact, from August 2020, the situation changed. After the entry into force of FNS Order No. ED-7-14/617, a separate form for registering farmsteads was eliminated, and since then, it has only been possible to create a farmstead as an individual entrepreneur (IP) or a legal entity with the corresponding type of activity. Now, the law returns to agrarians the right to work without the status of an IP or LLC.
