The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, signed Federal Law No. 352-FZ of July 31, 2025, which allows farming activities to be carried out both as a legal entity and without its creation. Previously, the possibility for farmsteads to operate without registering a legal entity existed legally, but in fact, from August 2020, the situation changed. After the entry into force of FNS Order No. ED-7-14/617, a separate form for registering farmsteads was eliminated, and since then, it has only been possible to create a farmstead as an individual entrepreneur (IP) or a legal entity with the corresponding type of activity. Now, the law returns to agrarians the right to work without the status of an IP or LLC. This significantly simplifies the activities of agricultural producers: the requirements for farmsteads without the formation of a legal entity are less stringent than for IPs.
