Since the law introducing new export duty rates on soybeans and rapeseed came into effect on September 4, 2025, Ukrainian farmers have already exported over 1 million tons of these products. This was reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine. The law has introduced an export duty on these oilseeds, but agricultural producers who export their own grown produce and cooperatives that sell their members' produce are exempt from paying it. Thanks to this mechanism, farmers have already received benefits totaling over 345 million UAH, while 742.7 million UAH in export duties have been paid to the state budget by traders. Since September 4, 2025, export duty rates of 10% on soybeans and rapeseed have been introduced. Farmers exporting their own grown soybeans and rapeseed must now obtain an export origin opinion from the Trade and Industrial Chamber of Ukraine or regional chambers of commerce for each batch of produce to avoid paying the duty.
