Festival of pistachios on the Meriç River

The Trakya Development Agency, S.S. Meriç Alibeyköy Agricultural Development Cooperative, and Edirne's brand Edirne Yöresel collaborated to organize the Peanut Festival in Meriç Alibeyköy. The two-day festival, held on October 18-19, was attended by Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer, Edirne MP Fatma Aksal, Trakya Development Agency Secretary General Mahmut Şahin, district governors, mayors, agency directors, provincial protocol members, and citizens. The festival began with a symbolic peanut harvest in the field, followed by a procession to the festival area, where various foods made with Meriç Peanuts were offered at stalls.
