Farmers in Antalya's Aksu district have started the cucumber harvest season, despite high temperatures reaching 40 degrees. The cucumbers were planted in greenhouses in August and are being harvested despite temperatures as high as 50 degrees during the summer. To protect the cucumbers from heat damage, they are being placed between papers in crates. Aksu Producers Association President Turan Şahin mentioned that the harvest was made under challenging conditions but assured consumers that the cucumbers are fresh and have no pesticide residue.
