The II Specialized Wheel of Olives, Olive Oil, and Condiments 2025, held in May of this year by the Promotion Commission of Peru for Export and Tourism (Promperú), is already beginning to show its first fruits. One of the most outstanding cases is that of La Pascala E.I.R.L., a Peruvian company specialized in the export of spices and condiments, which managed to close a negotiation to export 8 tons of dried oregano to a Guatemalan buyer. Thanks to Promperú's support, access to Peruvian oregano in the Guatemalan market was enabled again. The institution coordinated with SenasaTacna, which in turn managed with its central headquarters in Lima, achieving the official reopening of the market for this product from the southern region. The shipment, scheduled for July 17, marks the first export of dried oregano from Tacna to Guatemala, and represents an opportunity not only for this company but also for other exporters in the sector who can now access this destination.
