In Samsun, Turkey, 92 individuals and organizations have been fined approximately 2 million lira for selling fish below the size limit, as part of ongoing inspections by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. The inspections, which included 45 aquaculture inspectors and covered areas such as fishermen's shelters, retail sales places, and cold storage facilities, resulted in administrative fines totaling 1 million 981 thousand 653 liras for height violations. The directorate will continue its inspections to ensure compliance with fishing regulations and promote sustainable fishing practices.
