In 2024, the number of households and individuals moving to fishing villages decreased compared to the previous year, with 1-2 person households accounting for 95%, clearly showing a trend toward smaller household sizes. According to the National Statistical Office's recently released '2024 Fishing Village Migration Statistics', fishing village households decreased to 555 households, down 161 households (22.5%) from the previous year's 716 households, and the number of individuals moving to fishing villages dropped to 585 people, a decrease of 165 people (22.0%) from the previous year's 750 people. The average number of household members for fishing village households was 1.28, slightly increasing from 1.26 in the previous year, with household types consisting of 79.1% (439 households) single-person households and 16.2% (90 households) two-person households.
