The majority of these dairy products are exported to neighboring countries including the Netherlands, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Italy, with China and Algeria also showing a strong interest. Cheese is the leading product in both imports and exports. There has been a steady growth in the dairy trade, with exports increasing by 60% since 2018 and imports and exports reaching 1.8 million tons and 2.3 million tons respectively by 2022.
