Igor Sviridenko, the President of the Russian Union of Flour and Cereals Enterprises, forecasts a 4.5% increase in Russia's flour production by the end of 2024, reaching 10.3 million tons. By the end of 2023, Russia's flour production stood at 9.853 million tons. The forecast also anticipates a rise in wheat flour production to 9.67 million tons from 9.317 million tons in 2023, while rye flour production is expected to decline to 500 thousand tons from 535 thousand tons. Additionally, the gross rye harvest is projected to decrease to 1.3 million tons by the end of the current year, down from 1.7 million tons in 2023.
