Flour production is declining in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan has seen a minor decline in its flour production in the early months of 2023, with a total output of around 499 thousand tons of wheat and wheat-rye flour, a slight drop from the 514.08 thousand tons produced in the same timeframe last year. Despite a month-on-month increase from January's 237.15 thousand tons to February's 261.74 thousand tons, the figures still fell short of the production levels of February the previous year, which stood at 269.59 thousand tons. The regions leading in flour production include Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, and Shymkent, highlighting the geographical distribution of this industry within the country.
