Chile's Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) has approved the resumption of live horse imports from Argentina following a successful audit by the Argentine National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (Senasa). The audit assured SAG of the reliability of Argentina's quarantine tracking system, leading to the lifting of a temporary ban first imposed in 2023. This decision is a collaborative effort by Senasa, the National Bioeconomy Secretariat, and the National Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade, and Worship, capitalizing on Argentina's status as a significant global supplier of equines.
