In the agricultural, fishery, and livestock sectors of Jeju, 49 farmers who have been in the field for over 50 years received the first honorary vocational bachelor's degrees in the nation. The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province held the "2025 Jeju Provincial University Honorary Vocational Degree Award Ceremony" to socially recognize the expertise and experience accumulated in their lives. At the ceremony, honorary vocational bachelor's degrees were awarded to 49 agricultural, fishery, and livestock sector farmers, with 35 from agriculture, 8 from fishery, and 6 from livestock. Their average age was 73.5 years, and their average career length was 53.3 years.
