Four arrested for the theft of 12,000 kilos of olives in Seville

The Guardia Civil has detained four individuals and investigated 29 others in an operation against the theft of olives in the Seville countryside, in which 11,996 kilos of this product have been recovered. Additionally, 24 inspections have been carried out to guarantee the traceability of the fruit in purchasing centers and farms, with various reports for infractions of the Food Traceability Law and for the transportation of goods without the required Accompanying and Transport Document (DAT). These inspections have located and seized batches of olives that did not have the documentation proving their origin. From the investigations carried out by the agents, it is evident that most of the thefts were perpetrated by organized groups that travel in their own vehicles and access the olive groves.
