In April 2024, Peru experienced a significant decline in its asparagus exports, with shipments dropping by 22.2% to US$22.9 million compared to the previous year. The volume of remittances decreased by 13.6%, and the average price per kilogram fell by 9.9% to US$3.2. The United States remained the largest market, receiving 67.9% of the exports, followed by Spain, Germany, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Major exporters included Kimsa Fresh E.I.R.L., TA Export S.A.C., Green Perú S.A., Pepas Tropicales del Perú, and Danper Trujillo S.A.C.
