Despite the political crisis in Afghanistan with the Taliban, the country is still exporting agricultural produce to India, including fresh fruits like Sharda melon, pomegranate, apple, and grapes, as well as dry fruits, spices, cereal, and other goods. Around 70 trucks export these goods to India daily through the Attari border, which was recently reopened by the Afghanistan government. The bilateral trade between India and Afghanistan surpassed $1.5 billion in the 2019-2020 fiscal, with dry fruits and spices being the primary exports.
