Jeonnam Province announced that highly pathogenic avian influenza was confirmed at a farm in Jong-ori, Donggang-myeon, Naju City, at around 8:00 PM on the 24th. To prevent further spread, Jeonnam Province is implementing concentrated management of the quarantine zone and strengthening disinfection, inspection, and precise testing measures. Park Hyun-sik, Director of the Jeonnam Provincial Agricultural and Livestock Food Bureau, stated, "It is a dangerous situation as highly pathogenic avian influenza continues to be detected in wild birds and poultry farms," and urged poultry farmers to thoroughly observe key quarantine rules, including full-room access and disinfection. As of the 24th, highly pathogenic avian influenza has been reported 21 times nationwide, with three cases in Jeonnam, in Yeongam and Naju.
