From January to July 2021, Peru's fruit and vegetable exports saw a significant increase of 26%, generating over US $ 2,801 million compared to the same period in the previous year. The main exports included avocados and grapes, with the United States and the Netherlands being the leading importers. Vegetable exports, including asparagus, artichoke, and onion, also experienced a growth of 15.1%, with the United States once again being the top importer. The Ministry of Foreign Relations, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, and the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism are planning the Virtual Food Expo 2021 to further strengthen Peru's position as a reliable supplier in the global market.
