Fruit and vegetable price trend in Italy as at 20 December

The arrival of the holidays pushes the demand for traditional fruit and vegetables of the period, such as artichoke, turnip greens, radicchio, chicory and zucchini, and for which there are surges in prices. The prices of clementines and oranges are down: for the latter, the campaign of blondes for the red tarocco variety is closing. Thanks to the agreement with the Italian Telematic Commodity Exchange (BMTI) and Italmercati, we publish the survey of fruit and vegetable prices at the wholesale markets as of 20 December 2021. Below is a summary of the main types of fruit and vegetables on the market. The campaign of blond oranges is now coming to an end and has now been replaced by the red tarocco variety.
