Brazil is expanding its fruit export markets, with a focus on Colombia, Nicaragua, Senegal, and Argentina, and aims to capture 10% of Colombia's market, which imports 100,000 tons of apples annually. The country also plans to export to Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia, and is in discussions with China for exporting grapes, avocados, and lemons. Currently, 95% of Brazil's fruit exports are sent to the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States, but the country expects to increase foreign sales by 15% by the end of the year, reaching US$ 1 billion.
