Fruits/Cepea: One month before the end of 2023, export revenue already exceeds target of US$ 1 billion

Brazilian fresh fruit exports are recording excellent performance in 2023. In the November edition of Hortifruti Brasil magazine (www.hfbrasil.org.br/br), researchers from Cepea indicated the possibility of foreign sales exceeding the target of US$ 1 billion this year, but the surprise was that this level was reached before the end of the year. According to data from Secex, from January to November 2023, Brazil shipped almost 940.9 thousand tons of fresh fruit, 11.9% above the same period last year. In revenue, US$1.08 billion were raised, an increase of 30.4% in the same comparison. With this performance, the 2021 record (of US$1.1 billion) in revenue will be surpassed.
