The updated label expands the use of Elevest to Brassicaceae plants, Cucurbitaceae plants, and fruit vegetables, including pears and stone fruits, strawberries, as well as nuts (pistachios, hazelnuts, walnuts). For growers of these specialty crops, Elevest becomes a new option for controlling Lepidoptera, piercing-sucking, and chewing pests, targeting plant bugs, stink bugs, navel orangeworm, peach twig borer, codling moth, and leaffooted bugs, among other major targets.
For row crop growers, Elevest® adds a "soil furrow application at planting" option to its existing foliar spray, providing more flexible control of wireworms, cutworms, and seedcorn maggot, among other soil pests; foliar treatment can still manage armyworms, billbugs, corn rootworm, cotton bollworm, soybean looper, with particularly significant effects on difficult-to-control stink bugs.
Elevest is a premix of Rynaxypyr® (chlorfenapyr) and permethrin, combining the former's long-lasting control of Lepidoptera with the latter's fast-acting, broad-spectrum knockdown capabilities, extending the control period for key pests through dual modes of action, reducing the risk of crop yield and quality losses.
The regional technical service manager for Fumeimei USA stated that this label expansion allows growers to address a wider range of pests with a single product and gain more flexible application methods, providing another effective tool for specialty and field crops.
