Gangjin County recently garnered attention as a leading local government for agricultural and food distribution policies after winning the Excellence Award in the "2025 Agricultural and Food Distribution Business Evaluation" organized by Jeonnam Province. This evaluation was conducted across 21 cities and counties in Jeonnam Province, covering a total of five areas: ▲activation of agricultural and specialty product distribution, ▲agricultural and food industry development, ▲rice sales performance and cultivation of high-quality brand rice, ▲and gains and losses in the distribution sector. Gangjin County continues to uphold the reputation of "Gangjin Rice," which has been selected as one of the top ten brand rice in Jeonnam Province for 19 consecutive years, while also providing incentive payments to households cultivating functional rice "Mihobyeo" and soybeans.
