Nigeria is emerging as a potential market for Indonesian palm oil, with over 210 million people and serving as a major trade route in Africa. To strengthen cooperation and expand the export market, the Indonesian Palm Oil Entrepreneurs Association (GAPKI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Palm Producers Association of Nigeria (NPPAN). The MoU aims to foster growth in Nigeria's palm oil industry and establish mutually beneficial cooperation. The Indonesia Expo Festival in Kano, Nigeria, was also well-received, with the Indonesian Embassy initiating the event and a comparative study at a cooking oil filling and packaging factory in the Kano Free Trade Zone. The free trade zone offers incentives to attract investment, and the Head of the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center in Lagos emphasized that Indonesian investment in Nigeria's palm oil industry could improve local farmers' welfare and enhance the global image of palm oil.
