A study by KOWR analysis and strategy office has found that Poland's goose meat exports increased by 6 percent in the first eight months of 2024, reaching 3 thousand tons compared to the previous year. The majority of the exports were sent to European Union countries, with Germany being the largest recipient. Despite the increase in domestic production, which has risen to 1.11 million pieces in 2023, the majority of goose meat is still exported. Poland is the leading European country in goose production and the native White Kołudzka Goose breed is the dominant one. A campaign has been initiated to promote goose meat, which is considered a luxury due to its high price and health benefits, leading to a change in perception and making it a desirable delicacy in the country.
