GEOPA calls for stronger support for agriculture at the European Social Meeting

This week, the European Agricultural Employers' Organization GEOPA, represented by its president Claudia Merlino, participated in the Tripartite Social Meeting of the Council of the European Union, defending the importance of a strong agricultural sector. This is the first time since the establishment of the meeting in 2002 that agriculture has been officially presented at the highest level. Among the participants in the meeting were Ursula von der Leyen and the President of the European Council Antonio Costa, who received the GEOPA document "Strengthening Europe's Strengths."
