German media: Russia has surpassed Germany to become the world's fifth-largest beer producer.

Reports state: "Beer production in Russia increased by approximately 9% to 91 billion liters. Beer production in Germany decreased by 1% to 84 billion liters."

According to reports, a five-year-old report showed that Germany produced 14 billion liters more beer than Russia.

Reports say that China leads the world with a beer production of 340 billion liters, followed by the United States with a production of 180 billion liters. Brazil and Mexico rank third and fourth with production of 147 billion liters and 145 billion liters, respectively.

Reports indicate that the global beer production in 2024 dropped to 187.5 billion liters.

Reports state that many German breweries are facing financial difficulties, and beer consumption in Western countries is generally declining due to reduced purchasing power among residents and competition from other beverages.

Reports emphasize that the increase in Russia's beer production is related to a decrease in beer imports and an increase in domestic production.
