The first export of dried figs from Aydın, Turkey for the 2021/22 season will be on October 6, as decided by the Aegean Exporters' Association, Ministry of Commerce, and TİM representatives. The highest export of dried figs last year was to Germany. The association also reported an increase in dried fig exports by 2% in volume and 4% in value compared to the same period of the previous season. However, a decrease in yield is expected due to extreme heat experienced in late July and early August, causing problems in some regions.
