In September 2022, Australia saw a 16% decrease in red meat exports compared to the previous month and a 6% decrease from the same period in 2021, totaling 124,698 tonnes. Beef exports experienced a 12% year-on-year drop, while lamb exports rose by 15%, and mutton and goat exports showed a 9% and 23% increase, respectively. For the first nine months of 2022, Australia's red meat exports stood at 1,082,994 tonnes, a 1% decrease from the same period in 2021. The most significant market shifts were observed in the United States, South Korea, and China, with changes in export volumes and product mixes.
