Soybean futures fell as traders continued to monitor U.S. soybean sales to China. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said at the DealBook Summit in The New York Times that China is prepared to fulfill its commitments under the U.S.-China trade agreement, including the purchase of 12 million tons of soybeans. According to the Treasury Secretary, the deal will be completed by the end of February 2026. The White House press release from November 1, published after Trump's meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea, stated that China will buy 12 million tons within the last two months of 2025. "Mr. Bessent just hit the soybean market," said Fritz. "He omitted that they (China) do not need to fulfill the contract until the end of February.
