According to Goheung County on the 3rd, Goheung's konjac was served as a starter dish at the luncheon during the Korea-U.S. leaders' meeting held in Gyeongju last month on the 29th.
Goheung's konjac is known for its firm texture and excellent flavor, offering a savory taste combined with the clean scent of the sea and a subtle sweetness.
Goheung County stated that it is recognized as a premium food ingredient in the global gourmet market.
On the same day, Goheung yuzu sorbet was presented as a dessert at the dinner.
On the 31st of last month, during the APEC leaders' dinner, makgeolli made from Goheung yuzu was featured as the official toast.
'Tiger yuzu makgeolli' produced by Bae Hye-jeongdo in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, uses Goheung yuzu concentrate, highlighting its fresh and rich flavor.
Goheung yuzu is gaining attention not only for processed products such as tea, vinegar, and jam, but also as a beverage and traditional liquor.
An official from Goheung County said, "We will promote the food industry centered around the excellent food ingredients created by the clean sea and abundant sunlight, and spread the brand of Goheung as a quality yuzu and seafood production area."
