Turkish Food Exporters (TGI) has reported a significant decrease in exports of wheat flour, pasta, and sweet biscuits and wafers, contributing to a nearly $100 million loss in export revenue. The decline is due to reduced prices and export pressure from a wheat import ban and low international wheat prices. Despite this, red lentil exports have seen a 5% increase in price, with the total income for the product approaching $300 million. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's support policies have increased red lentil planting areas by 23.3%.
