The Novosibirsk region in Russia is projected to have a record grain harvest of over 3 million tons in 2021, due to good yield, with a significant surplus expected to be sold outside the region, including for export. The region has seen a growth in grain exports, with over 350 thousand tons exported in the first eight months of 2021, a 31% increase from the same period in 2020. Products exported include wheat, peas, barley, and more, with 18 states importing Novosibirsk grain. The region is working to control and increase legal grain exports while combating illegal supplies.
