Peruvian grape exports began the campaign growing 116%

In recent years, Peru has been the world leader in the export of table grapes and could follow the same path in this new year with a campaign that, according to a report from the Association of Exporters (Adex), registers strong growth. Last October, the date on which the 2023-2024 campaign for this fruit began, it added US$ 210.6 million in grape shipments abroad, a growth of 116% compared to the same month in 2022. Although normally the grape variety that is exported in the greatest proportion is Red Globe, in recent years they have also positioned themselves in the varieties Superior Seedless, Crimson Seedless, Flame Seedless, Sweet Celebration and Thompson Seedless. The main market to which Peruvian grapes arrive is the United States, which imported US$ 85.8 million, that is, 40.7% of the total shipped.
