Gumi City, Melon Smart Hydroponic Cultivation Evaluation Meeting

Gumi City held an on-site evaluation meeting for the "Melon Smart Hydroponic Cultivation Technology Demonstration Project" at a demonstration farm in Mukeori, Jangcheon-myeon, on the 10th. About 30 people, including melon demonstration project farmers in the Gumi region, watermelon and melon research association members, melon cultivation teams, and officials, attended the on-site evaluation meeting to directly check the results and effects of hydroponic cultivation. According to Gumi City, this demonstration project aims to reduce continuous cropping damage occurring in soil-based facility cultivation by introducing hydroponic cultivation methods using nutrient solution instead of soil, and to simultaneously increase productivity and quality through precise water and nutrient management.
