The harvest of aronia and elderberry in Edirne, Turkey, has commenced at the Thrace Agricultural Research Institute. The institute's Governor Ekrem Canalp's wife and entrepreneur women from the Edirne City Volunteers Foundation participated in the harvest. These fruits, known for their high yield and immune-boosting properties, are being carefully collected. Aronia, which was initiated as a project by the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies in 2017, is noted for its high antioxidant and anthocyanin content. It is a profitable and healthy food option, sold in the market for 50-60 liras per kilo.
