Turkiye: Historical record in dried fig exports

The 2022/23 season ended with a historical success in exports in dried figs, the fruit of heaven, which is defined as the sacred fruit in all heavenly religions, in which Turkey ranks first in the world in production and exports. While Turkey exported 73 thousand 388 tons of dried figs in the 2022/23 season, it reached the highest dried fig export figure in its history in terms of quantity. Dried fig exporters managed to earn 260 million dollars of foreign currency for Turkey by exporting dried figs to 109 countries in the 2022/23 season.
