Saffet Kalyoncu, Chairman of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters' Association, announced that 335 tons of honey were exported from the region over seven months, earning 1.41 million dollars. The primary importers were the USA, Germany, and Saudi Arabia, with additional exports to countries like the UAE, Libya, Qatar, Oman, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, and the UK. Kalyoncu highlighted the significance of honey as an export product and expressed optimism about boosting exports through geographically indicated and branded products, aiming to establish Turkish honey as a globally recognized quality brand.
