How much do rice and buckwheat cost in Kazakhstan

Cereals remain an indispensable product on the table of Kazakhstanis. Buckwheat and rice are especially popular - they are used as a side dish, the basis for porridge. And, of course, rice is necessary for pilaf. A correspondent of the Kazinform agency analyzed the cost of these products in different regions of the country. The most affordable buckwheat is noted in Pavlodar, where a kilogram by weight can be purchased for only 155 tenge. In Kostanay, social buckwheat costs from 177 tenge, in Petropavlovsk - from 178, in Astana, Karaganda and Zhezkazgan - from 180 tenge. In the west of the country, in some regions, it is slightly more expensive - in Aktobe and Aktau - from 184 and 194 tenge, respectively. In Kokshetau, buckwheat prices start at 190 tenge. In the south and east of Kazakhstan, the cost of this product is already higher: in Taraz, prices range from 240 to 900 tenge, but the most expensive options are already peeled premium buckwheat in packs of 700-800 grams.
