Beef slaughtering in Argentina fell by 4.6% in September compared to the previous month, according to the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Meat and Derivatives (CICCRA). Despite this, beef consumption has decreased by 7.6% over the past three years, with the average consumption per inhabitant now 47.2 kg/year, down from 51.1 kg/year during Alberto Fernández's first three years in office. Prices of beef cuts in Greater Buenos Aires increased by 6%, but this has not significantly contributed to the overall price increase. The most significant price increases were seen in common minced meat, buttocks, and rump, all rising by over 3% in September.
