A group of producers from the town of Raccha, in the district of Huácar, Ambo province, Huánuco region, managed to sell 3 tons of yellow Tumbay potatoes at S/3.50 per kilogram on the farm. This commercial transaction was supported technically by the Native Potato Project of the Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Huánuco.
The Huánuco potato was purchased by the company Alcampo Foods, which will direct the product to the international market. The sale was carried out by an association of producers from Raccha, who are part of the Native Potato Project and continue to strengthen their productive and commercial capacities with the support of the Regional Government of Huánuco.
With this new operation, the region reaffirms its agricultural potential and the commitment to continue promoting opportunities that improve the economy of rural families, bringing the best of the Huánuco land to international markets.
