The Institute for the Strengthening of Agribusiness in Goiás (Ifag) has intensified the monitoring of soybean planting in the 2025/26 season, facing a widespread delay compared to the previous crop and the historical average. As of last Tuesday (28), progress in the state reached 15.96% of the 5 million hectares planned. This scenario is already beginning to compromise the ideal calendar for the second corn crop in 2026. According to Ifag, the slow pace reflects the atypical water transition observed in October, marked by irregular rainfall and the influence of the La Niña phenomenon, which concentrates precipitation in short and unequal periods. “Despite the end of the sanitary void on September 25, many producers are waiting for greater regularity.
