Following a series of consecutive questions, the Index of Prices Received by Rural Producers in Rio Grande do Sul (IIPR) registered an increase in August 2025, according to a monthly report released by the Economic Advisory of Farsul on this Thursday (18/9). The indicator recorded inflation of 2.39% in the last month. Despite the increase in the last month, the 12-month accumulated figure indicates a contraction, reaching -8.52%. The price increase in August was mainly driven by the rise in the price of soybeans, which reflected the new global stock estimates released by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). In the year-to-date result, the outcome points to a mismatch with the IPCA Food, which has an increase of 7.42%. The difference highlights that the recent inflationary pressures of the IPCA Food stem from other factors along the production and commercialization chain, and not just the price received by the producer.
