In 2023, exports of rapeseed oil from Russia increased by over 70%

Leading importers China remains the main recipient of Russian rapeseed oil. In 2023, the volume of deliveries to this country increased 2.2 times and amounted to 1.46 million tons, and the value - by 53%. European countries have traditionally been among the leading importers of Russian rapeseed oil, but their share in the total volume of supplies is decreasing. Thus, over the last year, the export of rapeseed oil to Latvia in physical terms decreased by 20%, to 76,000. tons, and in terms of value – by 47%. Deliveries to Norway dropped fourfold, to 16,000. tons and 6.7 times – in value terms – experts added. The top five recipients of this product also include: Turkey (with imports of 9.2 thousand tons, -62 percent) and Belarus (8.2 thousand tons, +12 percent).
