In the first quarter of 2024, Armenia saw a significant decrease in its wheat imports, with volumes dropping by 19% to 69.3 thousand tons and values falling by 34% to $12,624.8 thousand compared to the same period in 2023. Despite this downturn, the country experienced a slight increase of 2% in the volume of wheat and wheat-rye flour imports, reaching 7.4 thousand tons, although their value decreased by 18% to $1,772.6 thousand. These figures were highlighted by Zerno On-Line, drawing on data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia.
