At the FHG "Annushka" in Mykolaiv region, the practice of growing cover crops is being implemented, where the AgroExpedition 2025, supported by KWS-UKRAINE and Credit Agricole Bank, visited. The agronomist of the farm, Yevhen Hortovyenko, shared the experience of implementing cover crops: "On July 16, 2025, cover crops were sown in this field. The predecessor here was winter wheat. The sown mixture of cover crops includes clover, Sudan grass, vetch, and phacelia. The sowing rate was 12 kg/ha, with row spacing of 25 cm. Since May, there have been no productive precipitations, so the emergence of cover crops was not as desired. But still, they are there. Due to the fact that we work on no-till, we managed to accumulate enough moisture to get these seedlings. Productive rain came at the end of July (about 30 mm), but it did not affect these crops anymore," he says. In the crop structure, there are winter barley, winter wheat, sunflower, corn, and flax.
