In the Odesa region, a new agrarian project "Winter Onion" is actively developing. The pilot settlement is the village of Myrne in the Bilyayivka community, where the Ukrainian-certified Korea-3 variety was tested. The experience proved successful, and now the villages of the Bilyayivka community will become the base platform for scaling the project. This is reported on the Bilyayivka City website. The first to join was the "Pan Bilyan" farm, and others are now following suit. It is expected that onions from Bilyayivka will be able to replace the famous Crimean onions, which are currently inaccessible. The main advantage of winter onions is their high yield and early market entry. With proper agricultural technology, Korean varieties yield up to 150 tons per hectare, and even 1-2 hectares of plantings provide local families with a stable income.
