Local producers have started selling fresh hazelnuts at 200 Turkish Lira per kilogram from their stalls along the Black Sea Coastal Road. The hazelnut harvest season is approaching in the coastal areas of Ordu. Producers, who place their freshly picked hazelnuts on the stalls, generally sell to expatriates and tourists. Stating that they sell an average of 20 kilograms daily, the producers noted that due to agricultural frost, the hazelnuts are scarce, and sales are lower compared to previous years, and they wait for sales throughout the day. The producers also noted that they sell fresh hazelnuts at 150-200 Turkish Lira per kilogram. "This is more of a hobby for us, we are utilizing our free time."
