Farmers in the Poltava region are actively harvesting late agricultural crops and simultaneously conducting autumn sowing, reports "ProAgro Group."
According to the regional military administration, farmers have currently harvested 974.3 thousand tons of sunflower, 748.6 thousand tons of grain corn, 291.1 thousand tons of soybeans, and 283.9 thousand tons of sugar beets. The collection of buckwheat and millet has been completed in full.
In addition, the region maintains its leadership in the sowing of grain crops. A total of 242.7 thousand hectares of winter crops have been sown, including 236 thousand hectares of wheat, 4.1 thousand hectares of barley, and 2.6 thousand hectares of rye.
"Even in difficult times, the farmers of the Poltava region continue to work with dignity and dedication, caring for their native land. Thank you for your high professionalism, responsibility, and endurance," noted the acting head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Kohut.
