In September, Ukraine's dairy exports reached a record revenue of $35.9 million, a 9.2% increase from August and 145% more than the same period in 2021. The main export, dry milk, saw a 51% increase. However, exports of butter, whole milk, and cream decreased. Cheese exports increased by 8.9%, while imports decreased by 21%. Overall, dairy imports decreased due to the expensive hryvnia. The Association of Milk Producers predicts a seasonal decrease in exports in October but expects numbers to still be high.
