The Dnipropetrovsk region in Ukraine has threshed 350,000 tons out of a planned 1.15 million tons of sunflower and has started corn harvest. Despite late rains delaying winter sowing, there is optimism for a good sunflower and corn harvest. Farmers are also in the process of sowing winter wheat and barley. Despite potential slight decreases in harvest next year, the region expects to harvest over 1 million tons of wheat, which will be sufficient to feed the region's residents and leave some for export.
